Take The Limits Off Of God: Immeasurably More
“Now to Him who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do super abundantly, far above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hope, or dreams]” (Ephesians 3:20 AMPC).
If you can grasp the fullness of who God is and what He is capable of doing, it will change your perception of His ability. Our God is all powerful! There is nothing that He cannot do. We all have limits: limited vision, brain power, physical capacity, and lifespan. God however has no limitations. He created heaven and earth and everything in it.
What is more magnanimous or greater than creation and all that it entails? God makes mountains quake, seas roar, and stars shine. It’s nothing for God to stop the earth’s rotation to give victory in a battle; feed five thousand people with five loaves and two fish; turn water into wine; turn the Nile river into blood, which is over four thousand miles long with billions upon billions of gallons of water in its banks. Our God also raises the death. The God we serve is Yahweh, the One who causes all things to be.
Don’t be afraid to ask God for the impossible. God will do for us not only more than we ask and desire in prayer but also even more than that our imagination can perceive. This promise is conditioned and dependent on the grace of the Holy Spirit’s presence, power, and grace operating in our lives (Ephesians 1:19). I challenge you to let go of the boundaries that culture, your circumstances, and beliefs have set on God. This will require you to take the limits off of your faith so that you may experience the result of His miraculous power. Let’s proclaim like Jeremiah “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Then God’s response to him was, “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32: 17, 26-27). Take the limits off of God!
Lord, help our unbelief and strengthen our trust in You realizing that there is nothing too difficult for You. Grant us the grace of confidence in Your power.
